WHY CONFIDENTIALITY IS IMPORTANT If your current employer learns that you are circulating or posting your resume, it is doubtful that it will have a positive effect. At the very least, your loyalty and commitment to them would be questioned, which would probably have negative effects on any advancement or further opportunities within their company. In the worse case, you could be terminated. If you are posting your resume on the Internet at the various resume databanks, anyone (including your current employer) can have access to that information!
